In a joint operation, the Chandarlapadu police and Particular Enforcement Bureau (SEB) carried out raids on Krishna River financial institution on Saturday, and seized 10 tractors, two earthmovers and 400 tonnes of sand, that was being transported illegally.
On data that sand was being smuggled to the neighbouring Telangana and different locations, the crew led by SEB Extra Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal and Nandigama Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nageswara Reddy carried out raids in Kasarabad village, Chandarlapadu mandal. They seized the autos and the sand, stated Krishna Superintendent of Police M. Ravindranath Babu.
Particular groups have been carried out on the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana borders to test sand and liquor smuggling. The raids would proceed and stern motion can be taken towards the smugglers, the SP warned.
